FSC Group Certificate for GD Holz
On 2 Nov, 2011, the German Timber Trade Federation (GD Holz) has been granted a FSC Chain of Custody group certificate. During the annual Timber Trade Fair in Cologne (Branchentag Holz), the certificate was officially handed over to 15 GD Holz members by the responsible certification body, GFA Consulting Group. “We were very privileged to pioneer the GD Holz group certification process as it is the first German timber trade group to acquire a FSC chain of custody certificate”, stated Carsten Huljus, Director of GFA Certification, the market leader in Germany among FSC certification bodies. GD Holz Managing Director Thomas Goebel thanked all participating members, the consultant and his team for the outstanding support and management of the certification process. He pointed out that GD Holz members are very interested in group certification so that the group of certified members will grow in due time.
