Copy Young Professional Program
Many of today’s outstanding permanent staff members were recruited as young professionals. The inflow of young talent with fresh ideas and great dedication reflects GFA’s attention to performance, innovation, credibility and quality. Staff selection therefore aims at recruiting the very best and committing them to the company.
Our GFA Young Professional Program is an internal program designed for suitably qualified graduates of development related disciplines, who have a desire to contribute to our development work in countries worldwide. The Program offers unique opportunities for young professionals to work for GFA at our head offices in Germany and in one of our projects overseas. This enables them to develop the skills and acquire the experiences needed to become professional consultants in development cooperation. The next step in a young professional’s career with GFA typically is a long-term project assignment.
"In my view, GFA`s Young Professionals Program offers an ideal combination of in-house training, practical fieldwork and day-to-day consulting business. It provides a unique opportunity to get involved in a great variety of thematic and regional peculiarities. The frequent exchange of experiences among young professionals certainly creates the Program’s very social nature“.

“I particularly value the professional development aspect of the Program. Not only do I participate in courses and seminars on project management tools as well as training and moderation techniques, but I also draw on a personal mentor. He provides me with career-oriented advice and support so I feel guided along my path towards becoming a successful development cooperation consultant”.
