GFA Consulting Group S.A.

In April 2008, GFA Consulting Group Sociedad Anónima (S.A.) was founded in San José, Costa Rica which continues the activities of the previous representative office. The legal form corresponds to that of a German Aktiengesellschaft (joint stock corporation). As such it has been endowed with equity capital to the amount of € 200,000. The company is a subsidiary of the GFA Group and aims at the countries of Central America. The goal is to acquire more locally and regionally advertised assignments by means of closer proximity to the clients. Business activities will initially be confined to the four strategic business areas of GFA’s Department for Latin America:

• Agriculture and Rural Development,
• Natural Resource Management,
• Decentralization and Public Sector Management
• Private Sector Development.

Activities will be expanded on the basis of extensive market analysis to include new business areas and clients related to both, Official Development Assistance (ODA) and the private sector.
