GFA at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture in Berlin

Every year in January, the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), a side event of the Green Week, is a special event for GFA. Three days of high level events put major agri-business partners and ministers of agriculture from key GFA focus countries in the limelight. This is the place to go for an update on current thinking about the future of agricultural policy around the world. This year, the event's theme was „How to feed our cities? Agriculture and rural areas in an era of urbanization“.

The cooperation market on the last day of the GFFA traditionally is a place to meet friends and competitors for an exchange of information and an informal chat. The GFA office in Berlin is most prominent in this market, as GFA is General Agent of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture for the BMEL Bilateral Cooperation Programme and for the International Sustainable Forest Management Programme. Major partner ministries and project partners use this opportunity to meet the team and hold project meetings.
