Swaziland clients convinced by robust SunSystems
When GFA B.I.S. consultant Tilman Loetzsch evaluated a SunSystems roll-out in Swaziland in late April 2015, his client, the National Emergency Response Council on HIV and AIDS (NERCHA), reported total satisfaction. “The adoption of SunSystems has contributed to an improvement in the timeliness and quality of financial reports” stated National Executive Director Khanya Mabuza.
GFA B.I.S. had installed Infor SunSystems Financial Management and its reporting tool Infor Query & Analysis a year ago. NERCHA organizes and manage the nation’s war against the AIDS epidemic. Acting as the conduit for monies received from the government and the U.N. Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, NERCHA works with organizational and community partners across all sectors to ensure that comprehensive services are delivered to the grassroots level throughout the nation.
The feedback Mr. Loetzsch received from NERCHA financial services and management staff, system users and end users was positive. The move towards SunSystems proved to be a strategic decision. According to Mr. Mabuza, the new software not only makes NERCHA a high performance organization, but it also meets donor requirements.
GFA Consulting Group as Fiscal Agent provided a broad range of financial management services to NERCHA. GFA experts supported the client and ensured that all financial management activities were conducted in strict compliance with rules, and procedures set out by The Global Fund and the local government. Even as the Fiscal Agent’s assignment has ended by May 2015, the GFA B.I.S. support continues.
GFA B.I.S. was commissioned to provide IT services. After the analysis of the existing accounting system, a System Design document was created to guide the optimization of the accounting system with the aim to fully satisfy The Global Fund requirements concerning transaction coding and automated enhanced financial reporting.
