GFA ENVEST has in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) regarding
the identification of high-quality project concepts including risk mitigation strategies
the preparation of financing concepts taking into account the Kyoto Protocol´s flexible mechanisms and subsidies from international and national support programs
the elaboration of baseline methodologies, Project Design Documents (PDD) and the subsequent authorization process
project implementation and management including monitoring and preparation for certification

The position of GFA ENVEST is characterized by building an interface between main stakeholders in the carbon market: Private enterprises are interested in investment opportunities, either because of carbon compliance and/or because of business strategy e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility or Socially Responsible Investment. Government institutions are promoting their programs on climate, biodiversity, soil and water protection. Official Development Assistance (ODA) agencies are looking for co-financing of conservation and development projects by the private sector through market-based mechanisms.
