- The intervention strategy of the technic assistance team is based on six principal intervention areas covering together the results to be expected, namely:
- 1. Improving acces to infrastructures and to basic social services;
- 2. Dynamisating the local economic tissue
- 3. Supporting decentralisation and convergence
- 4. Supporting local authorities in elaborating a strategic planification and in implementing the same
- 5. Reinforcing the participation and the capacities of the local actors
- 6. Maintenance
- For each of this area a specific intervention strategy will be composed:
- The role of the technic assistance is to
- - arrange the guiding, evaluation, monitoring and communication tools for INDH and especially for the programme to reduce poverty in the rural area of INDH,
- - strengthen the strategic frame for poverty reduction in Morocco
- - strengthen the capacities of the local actors involved in the implementation of the programme of poverty reduction in the rural area of INDH (rural communities, actors of civil society, regional departments engaged in the social action etc);
- - improve the local governance by stengthening the capacity of rural local authorities and perpetuate the participative methodes and strategic planification;

Project Summary
|
The central aim of the National Initiative for Human Development is to reduce poverty and to improve the indicators for human development.
At the same time the initiative INDH aims at improving the governance by emerging a participative local democracy. This measure is especially in line with the struggle against poverty in rural areas. This measure is actually based on two basic principles, namely on decentralisation and participation and on an approach based on partnership, the implication of the stakeholders and especially the strategic planification. | |
