The GFA Consulting Group, based in Hamburg, is a global player with numerous subsidiaries and partner companies worldwide. This international presence is not only beneficial to the clients, but also serves as an incentive to GFA’s own staff.

The GFA Consulting Group’s competence and expertise are held in high esteem by both clients and financial institutions. This is due to the success achieved in providing consultancy and support services to institutions and organizations which endeavour to improve people’s lives and thereby contribute to boosting employment and economic growth.

The basis for GFA’s consultancy services is provided by an approach which combines competence at sector and management  level with application of innovative technology for project planning, project implementation, human resource development and financing. The GFA Consulting Group has at its disposal a large pool of highly capable, multi-talented advisors on whom it can rely in the respective phases of project preparation, implementation and evaluation.

The company has been growing steadily since it was founded and has implemented more than 3,000 studies and projects in over 70 countries. Simultaneously, the range of services has been continuously extended. Today, GFA employs more than 400 staff members in Germany and abroad.

GFA has successfully served hundreds of institutional clients by helping them execute projects financed by bilateral donors, the European Commission, the World Bank and regional development banks. Cooperation with German bilateral institutions such as the GTZ and KfW, which promote and finance development programmes, has made a significant contribution to enhancing GFA’s expertise.

The company also offers services such as quality management, environmental investment and implementation of corporate responsibility (CR) strategies to private-sector clients.

Our principal shareholder, GFA Holding AG, invests in complementary services such as engineering and IT consulting.
