Our staff members alternate between technical and administrative tasks in Germany and abroad, thus experiencing different perspectives of development cooperation. 

Consultants are encouraged to further develop their technical and management skills, and intensify their contacts. Rotation between diverse tasks, countries and fields of work is the most important promotion tool in this respect. Change processes within GFA are facilitated through a wide range of advanced trainings which are regularly evaluated and updated. The focus is on consulting skills, client-specific, technical and IT courses and foreign languages. Minimum standards for all staff levels and fields of work have been defined. An in-house training unit manages the advanced training process by means of regular needs assessments and web-based coordination of courses offered.
