On 16 November, 2013 GFA Consulting Group and GFA B.I.S. attended Engagement Weltweit , a professional fair on jobs in development cooperation that takes place every other year in Bonn. At a joint information stand, staff of both companies answered questions and discussed all aspects of professional assignments in development cooperation. Raising Chicken a Success Story in Baghlan, Afghanistan

The Baghlan Agriculture Project of GIZ implemented by GFA supports almost a thousand women farmers in the Baghlan Province with assistance and equipment related to poultry keeping for meat and egg production. For many women in rural areas this is often the only source of income.The GFA team of experts provided skills training and practice-oriented field days, and distributed compound feed, chicken wire, feed and water dispensers to the farmers.... more

GFA at Development Career Fair in Nairobi

Staff of the GFA recruiting department participated in the first-ever DEVEX International Development Career Fair in Africa held 15-16 October in Nairobi. More than 45 employers and over 300 development professionals attended the Fair in order to present themselves and discuss best practices and latest trends in sustainable development in various workshops and panels. European Union Ambassador Visits ADELNORD Project in Lebanon

Upon invitation of the Federation of Municipalities of Donnieh in North Lebanon, the Head of Delegation and European Union ambassador visited the ADELNORD project on 6 Nov, 2013. Technical assistance for this project has been provided by GFA and ELARD. The project aims at the development and rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure, community development, and supporting the protection of natural resources. The Federation’s president decorated the ambassador and the team leader for their support to the region.... more

GFA Social Projects – GFA BRIDGES 2013

Ever since 2010, GFA’s personnel has been fostering small projects in developing, newly industrializing and transition countries as an expression of its social commitment. GFA staff and related parties are entitled to propose projects. Based on transparent criteria, a limited number of these projects are selected and financed by GFA. Iraqi Civil Servants visit Hertie School of Governance

Staff of the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development visited the Hertie School of Governance on a study tour to Berlin from 13-23 Oct, 2013.  The visit was part of an EU-funded support project implemented by GFA Consulting Group. Participants learned about trends, standards and instruments to improve the management and governance of public institutions, and to develop a strategic plan for the institute’s future development. ... more
