GFA newsletter 01/2017: Northern Afghanistan

Poverty alleviation is one of the cornerstones of global development policy. In this respect, this issue of our newsletter showcases Northern Afghanistan. Five examples from GFA’s work there show that rural families' livelihoods can be improved by introducing best practices in agriculture and natural resources management, and enhancing rural value chains, school education, vocational education and training as well as good governance.
