The countries in the Eastern Neighbourhood of the EU are undergoing a complex transition process. While struggling with the heritage from Soviet times and the consequences of recent political and economic destructions, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia move forward to a fundamental re-orientation of their political, social and economic values and systems. GFA's experience in transition processes in Central Europe is highly relevant in this context.
