Marine and coastal governance

GFA has published a new flyer on Marine and Coastal Governance, highlighting its expertise and services for “Blue Growth” to meet the challenges between environmental preservation and economic development for oceans and coasts – a topic which has gained increasing awareness and importance. The oceans, covering more than two-thirds of our Earth, are vital for many countries in their development and fight to tackle poverty, but the wide range of marine ecosystem services, including food security and climate regulation, are under threat. The flyer summarises the main challenges and opportunities and describes GFA´s practical experience in implementing related projects worldwide and its structure of interdisciplinary regional departments, supported by the expertise from our technical departments and an internal thematic working group.
