Project description
GFA Consulting Group is looking for experienced Due Diligence Experts with a strong background in banking, corporate finance, investment analysis and commercial due diligence for our ongoing Investing for Employment (IFE) project in selected African countries.
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial and commercial due diligence of business and investment proposals seeking grant financing of EUR 1–10 million.
- Assess business models, financial performance, financial projections, market conditions, commercial viability and key investment risks.
- Evaluate the financial and operational capacity of applicants to implement proposed investments.
- Prepare evidence-based risk assessments and recommendations to support go/no-go financing decisions.
- Prepare risk-based due diligence reports and revise them in response to comments and queries from senior management and independent second-opinion reviewers.
Qualifications
- University degree in finance, banking, economics, business administration, accounting or a related field.
- Substantial hands-on experience conducting financial and commercial due diligence of companies, business ventures or investment transactions.
- Proven experience assessing business plans, financial models, investment proposals and associated commercial and financial risks.
- Experience preparing due diligence reports and recommendations for investment or financing decisions.
- Fluency in both French and English (mandatory).
- Experience in development finance, particularly with KfW, is an asset.
- Professional experience in Africa is a strong asset.
