Project description

The overall program goal being the improvement of the employment situation of young adults in Egypt, the module objective of the TCTI project is the following:
 
The systemic framework conditions for dual vocational education and training have been improved in accordance with the reform strategy Technical Education 2.0 of the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Training.
 
The core point will be the establishment of two Centres of Competence (CoC) in the sectors of Tourism/Hospitality and Agribusiness. The contractor will be responsible for the following work packages (WP):
 
WP 1: CoC governance structures are set up and tailored to sectoral needs
WP 2: TVETA master trainers and CoC personnel are capacitated
WP 3: CoCs are equipped and prepared for training implementation
WP 4: A concept for CoC network schools is developed and implemented

Job description

  • Act as main focal point for all activities in the tourism/hospitality sector
  • Identify, network and act as key liaison for private partners in the sector (sectoral representation, companies and others)
  • Ensuring the needs of the private sector are reflected in the CoC development
  • Support expert 3 in (re-)designing 4 dual training programmes for the tourism/hospitality sector
  • Support the Team Leader in identifying and coordinating short-term experts from the tourism sector

Qualifications

  • Education/training (2.5.1): University master’s degree in business administration, tourism/hospitality management
  • Languages (2.5.2): Knowledge of written modern standard Arabic C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (3 points), spoken Egyptian (2 points) and English C1 (5 points)
  • General professional experience (2.5.3): 10 years of professional experience in tourism/hospitality management
  • Specific professional experience (2.5.4): 8 years of professional in human resource development in the tourism/hospitality sector
  • Development cooperation (DC) experience (2.5.7): 2 years of experience working on DC projects
