Project Manager GFA Regional Hub West Africa Region
Your tasks
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Manager to oversee acquisition and project management tasks for GFA tenders and projects within the country and region. The ideal candidate will contribute to project administration, financial oversight, acquisition of new projects, and enhance GFA’s visibility through networking initiatives.
Project Management:
- Independently manage projects, ensuring KPI tracking and budget oversight within GFA standards.
- Execute quality control for project reports and deliverables.
- Serve as a primary contact for contracting authorities, consortium partners, and experts regarding project administration and financial matters.
- Monitor team leader budgets and oversee expert day utilization.
- Prepare quarterly project revenue and cost estimates for the Controlling department.
- Verify and compile documents for invoices, timesheets, and project fund requests.
- Negotiate expert contracts and manage onboarding for new project staff.
- Participate in project-related meetings and events, such as kick-offs and steering committee sessions.
Acquisition:
- Continuously evaluate market opportunities
- Identification and recruitment of experts and define project team compositions.
- Lead pre-qualification preparation and coordinate technical and financial proposals.
- Support fact-finding activities and stakeholder mapping for project acquisition.
Visibility & Networking:
- Develop and implement initiatives to strengthen GFA’s regional presence and profile.
Your profile
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as governance, environment, or energy.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or business development.
- Experience in development cooperation consulting is a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with European or German donor procedures (EU IPA, EIB, EBRD, GIZ, KfW) is highly valued.
- Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken).
- Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office applications and database management.

We offer
Based in our Regional Hub office in Ouakam (Dakar), you will work as part of a growing and highly motivated team that is closely collaborating with our headquarters to manage projects and acquisition in the West Africa region.
We offer a full-time local employment contract.
