Posted on 18 Dec, 2017 by Beate Friedrichsen

Ulrike Taillebois originates from Neuwied on the river Rhine. Born in 1966, she completed a therapist vocational training before she studied painting and art education at Alanus University near Bonn in 1989–1993. Ulrike Taillebois worked as an art teacher in Hannover-Bothfeld until 1997.
Since 2009, Ulrike Taillebois has been a member of the group "Kunstspuren Volksdorf" (art trails) and contributes to exhibitions. She has also taken up teaching at kindergarden and school again in Hamburg since 2011. The artists describes her work as "mostly non-representational as my own approach to painting is spontaneous and develops over time. To me, it is challenging to get into a dialog with my paintings and be surprised by the result. As a matter of fact, the journey is the destination to me . It is inspiring to meet yourself in your paintings."

The work of Ulrike Taillebois is on exhibition at GFA headquarters from 11 Dec, 2017 to the end of March 2018. Paintings can also be acquired there.
