BUSINESS TRAINING FOR ETHIOPIAN INTERMEDIARIES
The first training session in the GIZ project “Private Sector Development in Ethiopia (Output 3)” focused on how to help Ethiopian business intermediaries achieve financial sustainability. The hot topic of the discussion was how business support organizations in Ethiopia could diversify income streams and build revenue models while positively answering to the challenges brought forward by the local entrepreneurs. Changes are needed for future development – changes in the internal organizations of the intermediaries, and changes in the entrepreneurship support services models.
The PSD-E project will provide the necessary support to make change happen while respecting the intermediaries' background and the marketplaces where the Ethiopian entrepreneurs operate. Stay tuned for the next training session on setting up coaching and mentoring schemes, which is due to take place on July 25 – 26, 2023.
