Araket: For better life in new settlements
The Araket project of the Swiss Cooperation in Kyrgyzstan aims at improving the lives and reducing the vulnerabilities of residents in eleven new settlements in the cities of Bishkek and Osh. It focuses on enhancing living conditions by strengthening local governments, improving access to public services, increasing employability for women, and promoting dialogue among stakeholders. GFA is responsible for managing project funds totaling 1.68 million CHF and is involved in awareness raising and motivating public authorities and residents to engage in advocacy and dialogue for better service delivery. Moreover, the project team facilitates womens access to employment through coaching, mapping, and connecting with businesses in and around new settlements.
