Araket: For better life in new settlements (phase I)
The overall goal of the Swiss Cooperation in Central Asia as set up in the Swiss Cooperation Program Central Asia 2022–25 is "to contribute to peace and social cohesion as well as to responsive and strengthened institutions and sustainable development in order to improve the resilience of the population". The overal objective of the Araket project is to improve the livelihood and to reduced vulnerabilities of the residents in the new settlements it will contribute to the achievement of the SDC goal.
The aim of the Araket project is to enable the residents of the new settlements to claim their rights, to access public services and better economic situation. During the phase I of the project implementation, the strategy to achieve the main results has three main directions (components) with three outputs:
1. Local authorities are responsive to address problems and issues in the new settlements
2. Residents in the new settlements have access to public services, cultural, sport, and leisure activities
3. Job and income opportunities will be improved for women in the new settlements
