Bangladesh
GIZ, 2016 - 2018
Contract value:

The "Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency" (REEEP) program aims at developing concepts for the promotion of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Bangladesh. The GFA-managed Renewable Energy component is working on practice-oriented dissemination approaches for RE technologies for households, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and public buildings, in rural as well as in urban areas. All activities are closely coordinated with the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), who is also receiving Capacity Building support through the project.

Within this context, C³ was tasked to do a training needs assessment for the commercial biogas sector and to identify potential institutional partners and experts for implementation. According to the findings a technical course on “commercial and slaughterhouse based biogas” was developed and tested according to the C³ principles. A Training of Trainers was implemented whereas 10 out of 20 experts were selected and coached in two rounds of implementation with 30 biogas service providers according to C³ quality standards.
