Economic revitalisation measures in five communities in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso
The project aimed to foster inclusive and sustainable economic recovery in five conflict-affected municipalities in the Centre-North region of Burkina Faso, as part of the GIZ-led PDICA programme. It supported internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities through tailored economic development interventions.
As part of the EU-funded Team Europe Initiative “Stabilisation of the Ouagadougou–Kaya–Dori–Djibo (OKDD) Axis”, the initiative promoted entrepreneurship, strengthened micro and small enterprises (MSEs), improved access to markets and finance, and enhanced the capacities of public and private actors. GFA implemented a comprehensive package of seven interlinked activities, targeting more than 500 direct beneficiaries and engaging multiple local institutions.
