Employment Promotion in Jordan: Improving the supply of employment policy measures for women
The aim of this project is to expand the range of employment policy measures within two identified sectors with particular potentials for the employment of disadvantaged women. For this purpose; self-employment and advanced training modules along with start-up retraining is developed and implemented within the fields of childhood education and care, as well as a further, yet to be selected sector with employment potential for women. Start-up activities in these sectors provide for both; the employment of women and the much-needed childhood education and care service which otherwise remains unavailable. Furthermore, job placement services are developed and implemented in order to increase the probability for successful job matches and the overall employment of women. The development and implementation of these initiatives are carried out in close coordination with business organizations, networks, individual companies and the MoL.
