Feasibility study: Improvement of living conditions in Palestinian refugee camps

Jordan, Lebanon, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syrian Arab Republic
KfW, 2009 - 2009
Contract value: 58,964 EUR

The objective of this regional programme was to improve the living conditions in Palestinian Refugee camps and adjacent areas in the Middle Eastern host countries, such as Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and the Occupied Territories (West Bank and Gaza).
The objective of the feasibility study was to prepare the ground for a KfW appraisal mission for the planned Regional Programme. The Consultant conducted a preparatory mission to review the institutional programme set-up and further define a feasible programme approach, including the institutional structure, and implementation mechanisms. This comprised the recommendation of a regional, national and local implementation structure for the regional programme, a general funding mechanism (open fund), and the recommendation of implementation measures.
