Fiscal Agent Services Global Fund

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, continues to face health challenges. Additional investments are needed while the misappropriation of funds is a concern. In May 2015, the Global Fund contracted GFA as Fiscal Agent to oversee and monitor activities implemented under The Global Fund grant agreements for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Supported by short-term experts for finance, procurement and IT, the GFA team developed and implemented a capacity building plan in order to enrich local staffs knowledge and skills in the medium and long run, and to promote sustainability.
