Good Financial Governance (GFG) for green and inclusive economic recovery in the countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA)
The public financial systems of the SICA member states and the regional cooperation mechanisms for strengthening resilient fiscal policy are insufficiently geared towards the criteria of an inclusive and green recovery. In order to strengthen the resilience of public finances in the SICA region, the TC module supports the development and implementation of regional strategies as well as the regional exchange on successful reform processes.
Key outputs of the project are: (1) Mobilizing income to sustainably finance the inclusive, green economic recovery; (2) implementing an inclusive, green and resilient public spending policy; (3) mitigating fiscal risks associated with crises and disasters; and (4) corruption prevention, transparency and accountability in the context of Covid-19 -Response.
The beneficiaries of the services are the SE-COSEFIN and its working groups, the different Ministries of Finance, Planning Ministries, as well as (occasionally) Line Ministries, Supreme Audit Institutions and the civil society organisations in the countries of SICA. The contract is for the provision of a pool of short-term experts to contribute to all four outputs of the project covering various issues related to Good Financial Governance within the countries of SICA in general and program objectives in particular.
GFA implements this project together with Mancala Conultores.
