Green Action in Enterprises - Strengthening women in the Jordanian industrial sector
The GAIN project focused on improving womens participation in Jordans industrial sector. This initiative strengthen the role of women in Jordans industrial enterprises through the implementation of Gender Diversity Management (GDM) strategies, thereby fostering a more inclusive and productive work environment.
The GAIN project had four main outputs, with Output 4 focusing specifically on the empowerment of women in Jordans industrial sector. GFA hworked in the following key areas:
- Enhancing the capacity of Business Development Service (BDS) providers on Gender Diversity Management (GDM), leading them to develop or establish at least one new service line related to GDM.
- Facilitate the implementation of GDM measures in at least 30 industrial companies, including the development of five pilot projects into business cases.
- Organise a series of events to promote gender diversity in industrial companies and facilitate the recruitment of female engineers.
- Empowering women in industry, creating and securing green jobs for women and linking this to wider environmental goals.
