Promotion of sustainable forest management, trade and marketing of important forest products, phase 3
Since the beginning of this program in 2005, GFA has implemented the component II "Processing, Trade and Marketing". The overall goal of this component was promoting the Vietnamese forest industry in process, trade and marketing. Based on the encouraging results of phase I&II, in phase III the biological production in forests was closely linked to marketing and trade by means of a holistic approach. GFA provided policy advice at national and regional levels to strengthen the institutional frameworks on timber trade and supported private and public stakeholder with capacity development on international quality standards, chain of custody and climate balance of forest products.
