PtX transport options and export logistics analysis in selected MENA countries
GFA elaborates on PtX transport options and export logistics for the MENA region (Algeria, Morocco, Egypt), including PtX derivatives, for potential consumer and off-taker countries in the EU and Germany. This includes different scenarios and a comparative technical-economic analysis of the following modes: Transport of green hydrogen by pipeline, and its derivatives through maritime and land routes in a short and a medium term.
Selected services provided:
Task 1: Benchmark and need analysis: Benchmark existing knowledge on PtX transport options, export logistics and infrastructure in the EU and Germany, as well as in the countries (including harbours, gas pipelines etc.).
Task 2: Preparation of PtX transport options comparison: Set and define the criteria of the cost-benefit analyses (among others e.g. economical, ecological, sustainable, security criteria) including a strategic horizontal time perspective (short-, medium- and long-term), and collect all necessary information data and conduct macro-economic calculations as base for the assessment regarding the before set criteria.
Task 3: Thematic “deep dive” and cost benefit analyses: Advise on preferable transport options for H2 talking into account existing infrastructure.
Task 4: Recommendations and final results: Conclude the suggestive Roadmap for PtX-transport options in coherence with the national H2 strategy.
