Contract value: 2,322,180 EUR

The objective of the project was to improve access, use and quality of health services. The project rehabilitated and expanded rural primary health care facilities and district hospitals in Kara, provided them with medical equipment, and financed targeted training and communication activities to accompany the investments. Family planning services were also supported and expanded. The project targeted the rural and mostly poor population of the Kara region, especially women of childbearing age and newborns. The client of the project was the Togolese Ministry of Health (Ministère de la Santé et de la Protection Sociale, MSPS).
