Strategy of Agrobanco for the mitigation of and adaptation to climate change

The overall project objective was to support Agrobanco in financing green projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions or help mitigating the consequences of climate change on Peruvian agriculture, livestock, forestry and aquaculture and allow for adaptation measures. The major out-puts of the project were strengthening Agrobanco’s institutional capacity to establish a sound and complete impact supervision and environmental and social management system (ESMS), and transferring knowledge to support the establishment of a dedicated green business unit, including the development of a pipeline of innovative green projects.
