Strengthen institutional communication and decentralization (PRODEDUCA)
The "Project to support secondary education to reduce student dropout" was embedded in the educational policies promoted by the Costa Rican Government. GFA’s task was to strengthen capacities of school directors, regional directors, advisors, supervisors, counselors, coordinators and board members in order to improve institutional coordination, decentralization and coordination among bodies of the educational systems, to develop a proposal for coordination and linkage with the aim to promote decentralization, and to develop a multi-sectoral dialogue. The project covered 80 different institutions for secondary education distributed in 19 Regional Education Offices located in coastal areas and the Greater Metropolitan Area of Costa Rica.
