The study analysed the relationship between Public Financial Management (PFM) and Security Sector Reform (SSR) in EU partner countries. It assessed how effective PFM practices influence resource allocation, utilisation, and oversight within the security sector. Key objectives included identifying best practices, evaluating the EU’s role in supporting PFM within SSR, providing recommendations to enhance governance, combat corruption, and addressing illicit financial flows. The study’s findings informed strategies to improve security sector accountability and efficiency, aligning with global efforts to promote stability and sustainable development.
