Support for the Kyrgyz Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (KyrSEFF), phase II
Building on the achievements of KyrSEFF I, the EBRD extended KyrSEFF with a second credit line of up to USD 35 million in 2016. KyrSEFF II goes beyond energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RE) by including water resource efficiency investments. Supported projects focus on resilience and adaptation to climate change. KyrSEFF II supports households selecting and installing appropriate water saving measures and increasing the efficiency of irrigation in the agricultural sector. It further assists the tourism and hospitality sector to save water and to treat waste water. KyrSEFF II continuously supports households and companies in maximizing their EE potential.
