Sustainable mobility in medium-sized metropolitan regions

The project "sustainable mobility in medium-sized metropolitan regions" supports four metropolitan regions across Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand in their ambitions to create metropolitan mobility planning procedures.

The project objective is that ASEAN as well as metropolitan regions of its member states have prepared integrated implementation strategies and included concepts for integrated, sustainable mobility into their development activities.

Mobility planning is strengthened as a vehicle to promote metropolitan governance. The project reviews and learns from experiences in the region and supports the introduction of regional governance in the metropolitan regions and based on this develop integrated transport concepts. Additionally, a regional learning process between metropolitan regions disseminate practical knowledge beyond the partner metropolitan regions. At ASEAN level, activities from regional strategies promoting sustainable mobility in metropolitan regions will be implemented.
