The GIZ project "Urban Management of Internal Migration due to Climate Change" (UMIMCC) aimed at supporting and improving the living conditions of internal climate migrants in the cities of Khulna and Rajshahi along three areas of intervention: (1) Provision of improved information and knowledge-sharing regarding climate-induced migration and the needs of climate migrants; (2) planning and implementation of labor-intensive measures to support the development and expansion of urban basic services; and (3) vocational and entrepreneurship training, with the goal of promoting the development of income opportunities and of the local economy. GFA implemented the third area of intervention.
