Support for the Kyrgyz Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (KyrSEFF)

KyrSEFF provided a 55 million dollar credit line (I&II) for on-lending in the residential and industrial sector through Partner Banks (PBs). KyrSEFF II went beyond energy efficiency and renewable energy by including water resource efficiency investments. Support was given to PBs in the preparation, implementation and verification of investments. Since the launch of KyrSEFF, PBs financed more than 700 projects in the residential sector and 60 business projects. With a total loan volume of 21 million dollars these investments generated t 104,000 MWh in energy savings and a carbon emission reduction exceeding CO₂ 29,000 tons per year.
