Master plan development for transboundary water management in the Congo Basin
In August 2014, GFA’s Africa Department started a new project related to transboundary water management of the Congo Basin, the world’s second largest water catchment area. Globally, regionally and nationally important functions in terms of water supply, climate impact, CO2 and O2 balance, resource and habitat of fauna and flora, etc. are at stake. A team of experts is tasked with the elaboration of a master plan as part of an ongoing GIZ project.
