Workshop on “Promoting Community Participation” – Army Hotel – May 2007
The Workshop on Promoting Community Participation was held in the Army Hotel in Hanoi the 3rd and 4th of May 2007. Representatives of the service providers, the Women’s Unions and the Peoples Committees were participating.
The objective of the workshop was to improve the knowledge and skills regarding community participation as well as to start the process of planning future community participation activities, among others giving considerations to the Vietnamese Grass Root Democracy Decree of 2003. The workshop was carried out in a participatory manner with both coaching sessions by Vietnamese and international experts and extensive group discussions where some of the newly gained skills could already be directly applied.
