Workshop on " Review of phase I and Orientation for phase II " of TC component 2

The workshop was held at the end of WWM phase I on June 12-13, 2008 and served the following purposes: (i) Sharing experiences gained during the first phase of TC implementations, (ii) Providing an outlook on the second TC phase and mutually elaborating desired results that serve as a basis for the Project Planning Matrix (PPM) of phase II, (iii) Broadening individuals’ horizons by sharing experiences made by other service providers (that are not directly related to the on-going program), (iv)Creating common perceptions on issues related to wastewater management and capacity building works, with particular emphasis on the creation of linkages between national and local government bodies.

About 60 participants, comprising key personnel from MPI, MOC, MONRE, People’s Committees, DOCs and the directors and operational staff of the six participating WWCs, as well as representatives of the respective DONREs of Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Vinh, Can Tho, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang, joint the event.

Furthermore, the directors of the BIWASE and the Da Nang TSWMMC as well as the Da Nang Priority Infrastructure Investment PMU were participating as resources personnel. Representatives of several German Development Cooperation agencies involved in the FC and TC modules of the program were also present.
