On the occasion of the 3^rd International Trade Fare for Water, Sewage, Refuse, Recycling and Natural Energy Source (IFATChina - www.ifat-china.com ) in Shanghai, a study tour organized by the WWM project will visit the Chinese metropolis between September 21 and 25, 2008. Guided by technical project experts, the directors and key staff responsible for asset operation and maintenance (O&M) of six participating wastewater companies are invited to take part in this years fair, focusing on equipment for O&M of sewers, drainage systems and pumping stations.

Besides attending IFAT China, the study tour group will visit a decentralized wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) built by German non-profit organization BORDA (www.borda-net.org) as well as a central WWTP currently under construction in Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai.

The tour serves the objective to enhance knowledge on equipment for asset O&M raise awareness on different centralized and decentralized wastewater treatment solutions.
