The WWM project has recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering (IESE),Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), on decentralized waste water treatment (DWWT). Both sides will jointly develop a guideline on decentralised sanitation, serving authorities, engineers, universities and public utilities on this important topic. So far, only little information is available in Vietnam on design and construction standards, technologies, operation & maintenance and related issues. This guideline will also be used for education purposes in HUCE.
