Following the successful celebration of the first German-Vietnamese Day organized by the Wastewater and Solid Waste Management in Provincial Centers Program in Bac Ninh City last month, the next day of this kind will be held in Hai Duong City on June 3, 2010.

The festivities in Hai Duong will commence at 7:30h in the morning at the Bach Dang park located next to a large lake in the center of the city. After the official opening speeches by the Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee and the German Embassy, day’s program offers German songs, art performances, a rubbish bag race, a German food cooking competition, an exhibition area where machines and equipment used for the operation and maintenance of sewerage systems is displayed as well as a Germany in Vietnam information desk. After a common lunch for invited guests, some construction sites of the city’s sewerage system, financed partly through German ODA funds, can be visited. In the late afternoon at 16:00h a German-Vietnamese friendly football match at the Hai Duong sport stadium in Hai Duong city will round off the program.
