Regional Cooperation
Besides support to the strengthening of national SDIs the project puts a strong focus on reinforcement of the regional co-operation. In its recommendations under Activity1 the project suggests the creation of a basic regional SDI and the establishment of permanent structures on regional level. These structures would comprise a Permanent Regional Secretariat and a Regional Board, supported by a number of Permanent Regional Working Groups. Clear visions and goals of the regional co-operation should be formulated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which the project suggests to be prepared in the coming months and to be signed a the final regional project conference in Sarajevo in October 2013.
