First day of the Kosovo's workshop, 25th April, was opened by the representative of the prime minister's cabinet Muhamed Krasniqi and introduced by Muzafer Qaka, Assistant Director Kosovo Cadastre Agency, and INSPIRATION project team leader Fritz Kroiss. Morning session covered various topics, from more specific, such as "Address Register in the perspective of SDI in Kosovo"; by Amir Sogojeva and "Access to Environmental information in the context of INSPIRE and SEIS" by Konrad Clemens to much broader presentations on EU legal and political framework, Fritz Kroiss, and the INSPIRE Directive, Christian Ansorge.
Afternoon session was opened by overview of main goals and results of the INSPIRATION project. Through three INSPIRATION activities Fritz Kroiss emphasized tangible outputs and up to date achievements of the project. Martin Koska followed by presenting case study from Slovakia that proved to be great example of lessons learned when dealing with legal and institutional framework for SDI and INSPIRE in Kosovo. Luan Nushi from the Ministry of Environment spoke about the role of spatial data in NSDI. Ivica Skender closed the first day of the workshop with presentation of business opportunities and risks of the INSPIRE for different stakeholders.
Second day of the workshop, 26th April, consisted of three thematic working sessions. First one was dedicated to Kosovo SDI law and was conducted by Fritz Kroiss, Martin Koska and Hajzer Bublaku. Martin Koska, well-acquainted expert in this field, presented the latest news regarding Kosovo's SDI law that was discussed on Monday and Tuesday meeting of the law drafting working group. Vesna Posloncec-Petric and Fisnik Loshi guided second working session that was related to Kosovo legislative recommendation report. Christian Ansorge and Ivica Skender closed the workshop with session on Kosovo customization of INSPIRE brochure emphasizing the importance of "user friendly" approach, especially in the language of the future brochure. Furthermore, participants could get to know all about call for awareness raising measures - how to apply, with which activities, what are the deadlines etc.
