First Regional Event of the INSPIRATION Project

5-8 June, 2012 at Hotel San in Laktaši, Bosnia and Herzegowina

The first regional event of the INSPIRATION project is going to take place in Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina from 5-8 June, 2012. The first two days, 5-6 June, will be dedicated to the first training on the implementation of the INSPIRE directive. This training will focus on providing data and includes speakers from Austria, Croatia, Germany and Slovakia. Aside from introductory presentations on spatial data infrastructure (SDI) and INSPIRE implementation, the event’ sessions will focus on metadata and data specifications.
 
On 7-8 June, the Fifth Regional Conference on Cadastre and Spatial Data Infrastructure will be held. This conference is organized by the Permanent Regional Technical Commission whose members are National Mapping and Cadastre Authorities, and is supported by the INSPIRATION project. One of the key elements of the Conference will be the presentation of the Regional Annual Cadastral Study for 2012. Another element comprises a presentation on Land Administration´s Role in Capital Investment Projects of Regional Significance as a special topic chosen for this year’s Regional Event.
