This year's INSPIRE Conference will be held in Istanbul, Turkey on 23-27 June, 2012.The European Union’s INSPIRE directive aims at creating a European Union spatial data infrastructure (SDI). This will enable the sharing of environmental spatial information among public sector organisations and better facilitate public access to spatial information across Europe. Hence, it has a significant impact on the geospatial sector in Europe. For experts and organisations involved in SDI, the annual INSPIRE conference is an event for lively networking and discussions.
 
The INSPIRATION project encourages interested parties from Western Balkan countries to use the conference as an opportunity to connect to the European SDI community.
 
The INSPIRATION team will participate in the conference.  The team will present the status of project activities in a workshop on EU enlargement on 27 June, 2012 at 14:30.
