Forest development in Hoa Binh and Son La (KfW 7)

The purpose of the services was to support the implementation of a project to contribute to sustainable natural resources management, biodiversity conservation, and to improve the livelihood of poor farmers in Hoa Binh and Son La provinces in Northwest Vietnam. This was to be achieved through the reforestation/rehabilitation and sustainable management of about 30,000 ha of production forest with protective functions, by private farmers and communities, as well as biodiversity conservation in four nature reserves and commune development activities.
