Project Manager - Land Management Modernization Program
Project description
GFA Consulting Group is currently preparing its proposal for the second phase of the KfW-funded Land Management Modernization Program (PROMOGEF II) in Senegal and is looking to connect with an experienced Project Manager.
The overall objective of PROMOGEF II is to support effective, transparent, and accountable land management by strengthening the capacities of administrative authorities, local governments, and technical services.Job description
The Project Manager will lead the overall implementation of this 36-month programme, ensuring successful technical, financial, and operational delivery. The position is expected to be based in Senegal, particularly during the first year of implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Overall project coordination and technical leadership
• Financial, operational, and contract management
• Quality assurance and timely delivery of project activities
• Stakeholder engagement and coordination with national partners
• Budget oversight, procurement, and compliance with KfW requirements
• Supervision of environmental, social, and administrative compliance
• Acting as the main liaison with KfW and leading project reporting and communication
• Ensuring continuity of services during construction activities
Qualifications
Proven experience managing KfW-funded projects (essential)
Excellent French language skills (essential)
Experience in public infrastructure/building construction projects
University degree in Architecture or a related discipline
At least 8 years of professional experience, including experience on at least two comparable assignments, with at least one assignment as Project Manager or Team Leader
Experience working in West Africa
