Help shape the next generation of health reform leaders! 

We’re looking for dynamic Facilitators and Event Managers to support a multi-country leadership initiative “Leadership for Health System Strengthening (L4HSS)”, working across Africa and Central Asia. This programme strengthens national health systems, boosts leadership competencies, and drives policy reform in line with the mission of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM). You will help leaders build coalitions, design actionable reforms, and turn ideas into national policy options. 

Job description

As part of the L4HSS team, you may 

Be part of the event and logistic support: 
  • Plan and manage logistics for in-person and virtual modules 
  • Source and contract venues across host countries 
  • Coordinate participant travel, accommodation & per diems 
  • Ensure compliance with GIZ standards on accessibility, inclusion & safety 
  • Prepare event documentation, attendance records & reports 
  • Support supplier management, procurement & budgeting 
  • Ensure on-site safeguarding and participant well-being 

Be part of the facilitation and leadership learning:
  • Adapt leadership curriculum with didactic experts 
  • Facilitate sessions, group work, peer exchange & reflections 
  • Deliver engaging leadership content for senior officials 
  • Support development of Collective Action Initiatives (CAIs) 
  • Capture insights and contribute to module reporting 


Where you will work: 

Across regional workshop locations in Central Asia, East Africa, and West/Southern Africa, supporting cross-country leadership cohorts

Qualifications

What would make you a good fit

Professionals who are: 
  • Experienced in adult learning or executive facilitation 
  • Skilled in event logistics, coordination & stakeholder support 
  • Comfortable with senior-level and government participants 
  • Collaborative, culturally fluent & proactive 
  • Passionate about public systems, development & social impact 
  • Multilingual (English + Russian/French/Portuguese is an asset) 
  • Experience in Africa, in particular Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Mozambique, Nigeria or Cameroon. 
  • Experience in Central Asia, in particular Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan 
Extra plus if you have: 
  • Background in event management or high-level convening 
  • Work with regional institutes, leadership networks, or NGOs 
  • Experience facilitating leadership for senior health officials 
  • Capacity development experience in public health 
  • Experience in managing logistical processes in a multi-stakeholder environment 
  • Event-organizing experience, including international stakeholders and top-level executives
